The Munich Tourist Office arranges private guided tours in 21 languages (including sign language!). They offer entertainig information on Munich's past and present. In addition to city sightseeing tours, they also organize walkin tours on specific themes and guided tours through the city's palaces. If arranged in advance, the office will organize tours for individual tastes.

SEGWAY DRIVING:

Segway Tour Munich
Segway Tour Munich offers guided Segway Tours through the city. Meeting
point for Tours is at the old city hall at the Marienplatz at the entrance
to the old toy museum. There are two tours available, the Classic Tour and
the Bavaria Tour. Both Tours take 3 hours, cover 8 miles and are available
in English. It's a very relaxing and enjoyable way to get close to Munichs
attractions.

Mike's Bike Tour
Mike's Bike Tours are extremely popular with English-speaking tourists. Tours begin at the old city hall at Marienplatz. The standard tour covers about four miles and last about four hours, with a 45-minute break at a beer garden.

BUS:
Münchner Stadtrundfahrten (Munich sightseeing tours) has lots of tours to choose from, varying in length and focusing on different parts of the city. All depart from Bahnhofsplatz in front of the shopping mall Karstadt.

Cab drivers—all of whom have completed a special three-month course at the Munich tourist office—will pick you up and give you a personalized tour of the city. Aside from the usual round-trip to the city’s landmarks, the service also offers themed tours. For example, you can choose the “Beer Tour,” the “Music Tour,” or a tour of Munich during National Socialism. There is also the option of taking half-day tours and full-day tours, which could encompass Bavaria’s Alpine environs and its beautiful castles. One to eight passengers fit in a taxi.
